چکیده
In this paper, the author proposes a novel configuration using a projection type wearable display, infrared camera with light source, and retro-reflective screen. In this configuration, the image is projected onto the retro-reflective screen. The screen location as well as the finger tip position relative to the user’s head is achieved using infrared camera and image processing. These locations are used for the interaction with the displayed object. Owing to the high reflection gain of retro-reflective screens, a small and light weight projector can be used. Also the high contrast between the screen and the other environmental object in the captured infrared image decreases the difficulty of the image processing for the screen and fingertip location. Thus this configuration can offer both the merits of a PDA type and eyeglass type configuration.

Background. In the study of wearable device users, it was found that the intentional motives for using wearable devices were a novelty, fun, and popular trends, but whether the needs and functions of device users will change due to the change the time is the focus of this study. Objectives. This study aims to examine the path relationships among motivation of use, exercise commitment, and exer...
متن کاملDigital Design Sketch for Product
So far the effort of digitalizing product-styling tools for the early design development stage has mainly focused on using raster-type graphics S/Ws. However, it has become a new obstacle to concurrent engineering because resultants of these S/Ws are no more than images, which can be hardly converted to digital forms required by downstream process. For resolving this problem, this paper suggest...

متن کاملPlanning the Cardiac Emergencies: Virtual Patients Based on Qualitative Physiology (Invited Paper)
We propose a system that simulates the cardiovascular system and other related physiological sub-systems through Qualitative Processes Theory (QPT) with respect to several cardiac emergencies (mainly shock states). One among other goals of this cooperative approach is the realistic 3D visualization through a virtual patient and its environment context, i.e. Emergency Room (ER). The user interfa...
